Dennis James Grow was born in New Iberia, Louisiana on October 27, 1952, to the late Ludwig and Gladys Pellerin Grow. He dedicated his career to the oilfield industry as a wireline operator, a role that showcased not only his technical skill but also his unwavering commitment and work ethic. Dennis proudly served our country in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Vietnam Era, instilling in him values of discipline and service that resonated throughout his life.

Dennis was truly a man of many interests and talents. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life—riding his motorcycle through scenic routes, casting a fishing line into tranquil waters, and camping under the stars. He had a particular fondness for visiting parks, where he would spend time feeding the squirrels and ducks, finding peace in nature’s embrace. His dogs, Cricket and Lucy, brought Dennis much joy to his life.

Dennis shared a profound love for jigsaw puzzles with his fiancée, Tammy. Together, they would spend hours piecing together images. This simple activity illustrated the bond they shared—a connection that was both playful and deeply meaningful.

One of the highlights of his year was the Sugarcane Festival, where he eagerly anticipated riding the Ferris wheel, his laughter mingling with the joyful sounds of the festival. Such moments were a testament to his youthful spirit and zest for life.

Possessing a green thumb and a love for gardening, Dennis built a greenhouse that flourished. He grew magnificent orange trees that produced thousands of juicy oranges each year. Gardening was not merely a hobby for Dennis; it was a way to cultivate beauty in the world around him. He will be deeply missed!

Mr. Grow is survived by two sons, Todd Grow (Sheila) and Slade Grow; siblings, Patrick Grow (Barbara), Kelly Grow (Margaret), and Eric Grow (Jaylene); fiancée, Tammy Myers and her children, Shontel Myers, Chelsea Myers, and Jordan Myers; grandchildren, Kacey Grow, Todd Grow, Jr., and Brayton Grow; daughter-in-law, Michelle Norman; sister-in-law, Brenda Romero Louviere; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Marie Romero Grow; and siblings, Tracy Grow and Tina Grow.

Pallbearers will be Todd Grow, Slade Grow, Todd Grow, Jr., Brayton Grow, Troy Grow, and Terry Louviere.

Honorary pallbearers are Patrick Grow, Kelly Grow, Eric Grow, Doug Pearson, and Russell Louviere.

The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the nurses, doctors and staff of at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital; AMG Specialty Hospital; Traditions Hospice, especially Gretchen Daniels; for extraordinary care and compassion; and to Dennis’ fiancée, Tammy, for taking amazing care of Dennis day and night through his illness.

Dennis will be lovingly remembered for his vibrant spirit, his generous heart, and his ability to find joy in life's everyday moments. May he rest in peace.
