Coteau - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Coteau for Dennis Romero, Sr., 64 who died Monday, October 25, 2010 in New Iberia . Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum. Rev. Barry Crochet will be the Celebrant. Born on October 20, 1946 in Youngsville, Mr. Romero was the owner and operator of the Tiger Inn in Loreauville. He enjoyed raising cattle and spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed. Survivors include his wife, Linda Arceneaux Romero of Coteau; son, Dennis Romero, Jr. and wife Khenta of Coteau; daughters, Ginger LeBlanc and husband Olton of St. Martinville, Monica Broussard and husband Wade of Coteau, Maranda Winn and husband Roger of Lafayette, Megan Angelle and husband Gus of Youngsville; sisters, Lucy Bourque of Coteau, Betty Poirier and husband Doris of Coteau, Laura LeBlanc and husband Wilbert of New Iberia, Brenda Darby and husband Allen of New Iberia; nine grandchildren, Seth Hebert, Tori Hebert, Heather Huynh and husband Son, Dilland Winn, and wife Morgan, Maci Winn, Evan Angelle, Drew Romero, Drake Romero, Dakota Romero; two great grandchildren, Melody Winn, and Khai Huynh. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Elise Gary Romero. Pallbearers will be Dennis Romero, Jr., Wade Broussard, Olton LeBlanc, Roger Winn, Gus Angelle, and Wilbert LeBlanc. Honorary pallbearers include Seth Hebert, Dilland Winn, Drake Romero, and Drew Romero. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd , in New Iberia . A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Wednesday.
