Devan Durand-Watts

St. Martinville - A Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 9, 2017, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville for Devan Christopher Durand-Watts, 23, who passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 8:00 am until 10:00 am on Saturday. Brother Jackson will deliver the Discourse at the Funeral Service. Brother Edgar Fuselier will be the Chairman for the funeral service and also be doing the closing prayer. Devan was a graduate of St. Martinville Senior High School, where he was a member of the marching band, as a drummer. He enjoyed helping his father, as a stage technician, during Festival International on the Lafayette St. T.V. 5 stage. During his free time, Devin enjoyed playing basketball, but most of all, cherished moments spent with his family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Merrill Durand of Houston, TX; father, Charles Watts of Lafayette; maternal grandparents, Zenora and Hildred Durand, Sr. of St. Martinville; aunts, Yulanda Watts of Lafayette and Francine G. Durand of St. Martinville; uncle, Troy L. Watts of Houston, TX; and girlfriend, Desha Batiste of Breaux Bridge. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Georgeaner Watts; aunt, Sandra K. Watts; and uncle, Hildred L. Durand, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Anthony Watts, Steven Cooper, DeAngelo Durand, Ronald Jerome Cormier, Trevor Joseph, Hildred L. Durand III, Blaisin Paul Comeaux, Damian Dasani Thesee, Summer Coleman, Jeremiah Cooper, Kevin Jean Claude Batiste, DeAndre Charles, and Kyler Bruno.
