Deyon Narcisse

St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 18, 2007, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Deyon Joseph ""D"" Narcisse, 22, who died Friday, January 12, 2007 at Iberia General Medical Center in New Iberia. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. ""D"" as he was affectionately called was a 2003 honor graduate of St. Martinville Sr. High School. ?He was a member of the St. Martinville Tigers football team and a band member. Born on September 25, 1984, in St. Martinville, ""D"" grew up in a loving family. ?He loved to laugh and had the ability to make others laugh. ?He will be sadly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him. ""D"" is survived by his step father, Louis Nicholas and his mother, Stephanie Odu; two brothers, Daniel Odu of Fresco, CA and David Odu of St. Martinville; a sister, Joy Odu of St. Martinville, LA.; a very special girlfriend, Latwana Wiltz; his maternal grandparents Francois ""Lightining"" Narcisse and Mazel Narcisse of St. Martinville; one aunt, Franny Narcisse of San Diego CA; two uncles, Gabriel Narcisse and his wife, Yvette and Nathaniel Narcisse, all of St. Martinville; ?three cousins Tayshiane and Talayshia Narcisse of St. Martinville and Torey Lacy of San Diego, CA; and a host of relatives and friends. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday and continue at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening. Active Pallbearers will be Travis D. Babin, Jamar Filer, David and Daniel Qdu, Quincy Butler, and Jamason Etienne. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronald L. Babin, Jr., Terrance D. Babin, Gabriel and Nathaniel Narcisse. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
