VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 1 :00 p.m. , on Saturday, July 10, 2010 , at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Dianna Roberts Turner, 63, who passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. Father Michael Delcambre, pastor of St. Joseph Church , will conduct the services. Scriptures will be read by Linda and Larry Thibodeaux. Mrs. Turner was a long time employee of the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office as the Chief Deputy Tax Collector. Upon her retirement, she took pleasure in raising her children and spending time with her family and friends. Dianna was an avid tennis player and belonged to LTA (Lafayette Tennis Association) and USTA ( United States Tennis Association ) among others. She often attended the US Open Tennis Championship in New York City and also the Australian Open . She was a talented artist and loved to spend her spare time making decorations and arrangements for family and friends. She also loved shopping and enjoyed traveling to many different areas of the world. She was devoted to her family and loved them all unconditionally. Her generosity extended well beyond her family and friends and she will be sadly missed by all that knew her. Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Paul 'Jim' Turner of Breaux Bridge, her son, Damon Turner and his fiance, Danielle Landry of Breaux Bridge, her daughter, Sloane Turner of Metairie; her sister, Patsy R. Broussard of Breaux Bridge , and a grand dog, Roe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stafford 'Tat' Roberts and Lillian Tauzin Roberts. A gathering of remembrance will be held from 7:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2010 . A rosary will be recited at 10 a .m. on Saturday by Father Donald Pousson. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
