Dicky Romero

New Iberia - Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am, on Saturday, March 21, 2015, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Dicky Romero, 57, who passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, in Lafayette. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Friday. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM. Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate. Interment will follow at Migues Cemetery in Delcambre. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Dicky was born on November 8, 1957 to Mayo Joseph Romero and Vernice Migues Romero. He worked at Trappey's for many years, and also did wrought iron work. Dicky enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his son, Nicholas Romero of Phoenix, Arizona; brothers, Larry Romero of New Iberia, and Chris Romero of Bull Island; several nieces and nephews.
