Coteau - Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Dodie Flores Nugent, 50, who passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at her home in Coteau. Rev. Matthew Hebert will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be at the funeral home from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm Tuesday. Entombment will be at a later date. Dodie Flores Nugent was born in New Iberia, Louisiana on August 24, 1970. She was a 1990 graduate of New Iberia Senior High, where she was affectionately known as "Dodie Flo" by her classmates. She and her husband, Tim owned and operated Quad Masters, LLC, and she was a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Coteau. Always a lover of the outdoors, Dodie enjoyed fishing, the beach, camping and gardening. She was an avid fan of Elvis Presley, an excellent cook, and a true animal lover, but what she cherished most was time spent with her family, especially her granddaughter, Cheyenne. Dodie is survived by her husband, Timothy Nugent of Coteau; father, Jeffery Joseph Flores of Coteau; two daughters, Brittney Kaiser (Joshua) of Duson, and Brandi Wilson (Brenon) of Youngsville, LA; a son, Brock Nugent of Coteau; and her beloved granddaughter, Cheyenne Kaiser. She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirlene Flores; and a brother, Chad Anthony Flores.
