Lydia – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, for Dolly LaBiche Guidry, 87, who passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on Wednesday, September 4, 2024.
Entombment will follow in the St. Nicholas Cemetery, in Patoutville, Louisiana.
Rev. Randy Courville will be the Celebrant.
Visitation will be Friday, from 4:30 pm until 8:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home and will continue Saturday from 8:00 am until 10:15 am. A rosary, led by Deacon Durk Viator, will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Friday.
A lifelong resident of Lydia, Louisiana, Dolly was born on August 7, 1937, to the late Milton LaBiche, Sr. and Annie Lee Judice LaBiche Bourgeois. She retired after working 30 years for Dr. Donald Pavy. After retirement, Mrs. Guidry worked for Fr. Manny at St. Nicholas rectory for many years and continued to stay very active in her church.
She was a caregiver to many generations and known as “Nanny Dolly” to all. She took care of and was like a mother to so many. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her sister, Mildred LaBiche Adams (Malcolm); a brother, Richard LaBiche (Dynell); Sister-in-laws; Katherine Guidry Bayard, Shirley Bouillion LaBiche, Donna DeVillier LaBiche, Rita Broussard LaBiche: and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Andrew Guidry, Jr.; sister, Patricia LaBiche, brothers, Chris LaBiche, James LaBiche, and Bill LaBiche, Sister-in-law; Mary Ellen Guidry LaBiche, Brother-in-law; Whitney LaBiche.
Pallbearers will be Bret Adams, Brycen Hammon, Andre Adams, Ryan Labiche, Whitney LaBiche, Don Bayard. Honorary pallbearers include Brent LaBiche, Adam LaBiche, Joey LaBiche, and Alex Adams.
The family would like to give special thanks to her daily caregivers as well as Hospice of Acadiana for their care and support.
