A native of New Orleans and a resident of New Iberia since 1960, Dolores Waldrop Guillotte was born on June 14, 1929 to the late Lelia Banister Waldrop and William W. Waldrop. She worked as copy girl and part time model for the Times Picayune in New Orleans for three years prior to her marriage to Warren. In 1965, after all four of her children entered school, she returned to the work force as an Accountant for Sanders Drilling Company for 18 years.
Dolores was an avid bowler and cat lover, a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and a member of the New Iberia Boat Club where she served as Secretary/Treasurer and Publicity Chair Person. She was also an active member in the Louisiana Sugarcane Festival for over 25 years, where she held several positions; but her favorite was Head Chaperone for Queen Sugar when she accompanied Queen Sugar and Court to New York for a week every year.
Dolores was a loving and supportive wife, mother, and grandmother, and she cherished time spent with her family. She enjoyed playing cards with her ladies card group, camping in their RV all over the United Stated, and going to the casinos. She will be deeply missed.
