Dolores Trosclair

Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Dolores M. Trosclair, 84, who passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021, at Cornerstore at the Ranch.The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:00 am until the time of service.A rosary will be prayed at 10:30 am on Tuesday.Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Readers will be Katie Trosclair Breaux and Emy Bourque. Gift Bearers will be Brittney Trosclair and Carrie Comeaux. Dolores was a graduate of Lafayette High School in 1955. She was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Bernard Catholic Church. Dolores was also a member of many organizations including: Catholic Daughters Court 1434, Perpetual Adoration, Krewe of Zeus, Family and Community Club, International Good Neighbor and Petroleum Club. She cherished the many times spent with her very special friends at dances and playing dominoes. Dolores will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her sons, Tony Trosclair (Lynn) and Toby Trosclair (Tricia); brother, Glenn Mathews (Arlette); sister, Diana Bourg Mathews; and grandchildren, Katie Trosclair Breaux (Joshua), Brittney Trosclair, Jacob Trosclair and Tateum Trosclair.She was preceded in death by her husband, John Vital Trosclair; parents, Willis Mathews and Antoinette Guidry Mathews; daughter, Kathy Trosclair Knowlton; son-in-law, Phillip Knowlton; brother, Russell Mathews; nephew, Keith Mathews; brother-in-law, Sonny Bourg; grandparents, Sulie and Marie Hebert Guidry and Numa and Lenora Begnaud Mathieu.
