VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2010, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Donald Borel, 45, who passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2010 at LTAC of Acadiana. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery. Fr. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the funeral service. Donald enjoyed riding his bike, going to the park, house cleaning, and running errands for those in need. He truly loved God's creation in people and his greatest reward was in helping those who were in need. Donald will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his father, John Borel, of Breaux Bridge; his sister, Lisa Borel, of Cecilia; godmother, Gustavia Savoie, of Cecilia; godfather, Abel Borel, of Breaux Bridge; and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lucy Gordon Borel; brother, Johnny Borel; paternal grandparents, George and Enola Borel; and maternal grandparents, Horace and Wilda Gordon. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Saturday. A Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
