Donald Fowler

New Iberia - Memorial graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, October 1, 2011 in the Holy Family Mausoleum in New Iberia for Donald E. Fowler, Sr., 76 who died Wednesday, September 28, 2011 in Abbeville. Born on November 25, 1934 , Mr. Fowler was a retired welder working for Brown Root for over 25 years, and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force proudly serving our country during the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing, playing the organ, and woodworking. Mr. Fowler will be deeply missed. Survivors include his wife, Harriet Broussard Fowler of Rynella; daughters, Rhonda Delcambre and husband Lenny of Rynella, Deborah Blanchard and special friend Walter Derouen of New Iberia, Sidona Signorelli and husband Glenn of Lafayette; brothers, Larry Fowler and wife Mildred of Lafayette, Jerry Fowler and wife Kathleen of New Iberia; half sister, Barbie LeRouge of New Orleans; seven grandchildren, Lance Blanchard, Kris Barras and fianc Tasha Boudreaux, Brandon Delcambre and wife Brandi, Dustin McCoy, Patrick McCoy, Shanie Viator, Brienne Delcambre and fianc Jered Frederick; two step grandsons, ZacharySignorelli, Tyler Signorelli; six great grandchildren; several nephews and a special niece; a host of friends; and his beloved rescue dog, 'Lucky'. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Mabel Nance Fowler; and a grandson, Brock Delcambre.
