Donald "Duck" Anthony Frelich, Sr.

March 11, 1943 — January 24, 2022

Breaux Bridge - A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for Donald "Duck" Anthony Frelich, Sr., 78, who passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022, at University Hospital and Clincs.

Donald was a resident of Plaquemines Parish until 2005 and was a current resident of Cecilia for the past 17 years. He loved life and being with family and friends. His kind heart touched many and he was the lifeline for family and friends after Hurricane Katrina. He kept in touch when everyone was scattered across our state. Just a phone call or a text put smiles on many faces. The calls continued until his death and will be missed by many.

Donald enjoyed singing, rock collecting, and talking with Monty and Sandra. He was an avid fisherman and shrimper; and he loved spending time with his son and cousins - Vincent, Kent and Kevin. Most of all, he loved to make people laugh and smile.

Donald was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He will always be remembered for his witty personality, great smile, and big heart. The family would like to thank everyone for their love, support, thoughts, and prayers.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, June Welborn Frelich; son, Donald "T.Don" A. Frelich, Jr. (Leslie); grandchild, Dystiny Roganti; great-grandchildren, Lexus, Rowen and Ezekiel; sisters, Margaret St. Marie (Eugene) and Peggy Johnson (Bucky); sister-in-law, Linda Frelich; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmond and Mildred Frelich; and brother, Paul Joseph Frelich, Sr. (Delores).

Pellerin Funeral Home (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
