Funeral services will be held Monday, October 15, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bernard Catholic Church, Breaux Bridge, for Donald Paul LeBlanc, 62, who died Thursday, October 11, 2007, at his residence. The Rev. Allen Breaux will be the celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Internment will be held at a later date. Survivors include his wife, Sherry Dupuis LeBlanc, of Breaux Bridge, two sons, Matthew Donald LeBlanc, of Frisco, Texas and Chad Anthony LeBlanc, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; one daughter, Kristen LeBlanc Feneley and her husband, George Feneley, of Raleigh, North Carolina, a step-grandson, Todd Feneley, of Raleigh, North Carolina; his brother, James L. LeBlanc and his wife, Jane, of Breaux Bridge, and three sisters, Anna L. Daspit and her husband, James, of Lafayette, Renella L. Patin, of Nina, and JoAnn L. Latiolais and her husband, Greg, of Breaux Bridge. He was preceded in death by his father, Sampson LeBlanc, his mother, Mable Gravouia LeBlanc, his sister-in-law, Vilia LeBlanc, his brother-in-law, Warren "Pete" Patin, two nephews, Tommy Daspit and Danny Patin and his father-in-law, Frank Dupuis. Don LeBlanc was born in Lafayette and raised in Breaux Bridge. He was a 1963 graduate of Breaux Bridge High School and served for four years in the United States Air Force, a veteran of the Vietnam conflict. He served on several Air Force bases including, Lowry AFB, Denver, Colorado; Hickam AFB, Honolulu Hawaii; Clark AFB, Phillipine Islands; DaNang AFB, Danang, Vietnam and Aviano AFB, Aviano, Italy. Upon being honorably discharged from the Air Force, he was hired by Western Electric Company, a subsidiary of American Telephone and Telegraph, and retired from Lucent Technologies after 35 years of service as a communications installer. The family requests that visitation be observed at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and on Monday from 7:00 a.m. to the time of service. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
