Donald J. Thibodeaux, Sr.

St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, May 16, 2005, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Donald Joseph Thibodeaux, Sr., 72, who died Friday, May 13, 2005 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Mr. Thibodeaux was a member of the Woodmen of the World. Survivors include his wife, Velma L. Thibodeaux of St. Martinville; one son, Donald J. Thibodeaux, Jr. of New Iberia; two daughters, Rhealeen Berard and her husband, Charlie of Loreauville and Tracy Hebert and her husband, Kerry "Tookey" of New Iberia; three sisters, Rowena Champagne of New Iberia, Vivian Blanchard and her husband, Howard and Leona Chastant, all of St. Martinville; three grandchildren, Dustin and Danielle Ronsonet of Loreauville and Brooks Hebert of New Iberia; and two step-grandchildren, Brook and Brennon Berard of Loreauville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alcee and Zulma Champagne Thibodeaux; and one grandchild, Dillon Ronsonet. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 10 AM ~ 9 PM on Sunday and continue at 8 AM on Monday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7 PM Sunday evening. Pallbearers will be, Roland Babin, Alvin Cormier, Melvin Landry, Hubert Landry, Sr., Kenneth Chastant, and Brady Cormier Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
