New Iberia - Donald Erwin Woolf, 68, formerly of New Orleans, died Monday, June 23, 2008, in New Iberia after a lengthly illness.
A native of Little Rock, Arkansas and longtime resident of New Orleans, Donald was a college professor at the University of Arkansas, having taught Theater and English. He also worked at the LaPetite Childrens Theater in New Orleans for 15 years, and was a very talented stage actor and costume designer.
Survivors include his lifelong companion, Michael Mickey Hebert of New Iberia; son, Billy Woolf; twin brother, Denton Woolf; sister, Patricia Woolf; and his beloved pet dog Tippy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hayward and Opal Starkey Woolf.
