New Iberia - A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 pm, on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Donna Katherine Decoux Pouliot, 59, who passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Iberia Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Tuesday and continue on Wednesday at 9:00 am until 1:30 pm. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Tuesday. Rev. Garrett Savoie will officiate at the Funeral Service. Readers will be Barbara Walker and Alex Rosen. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in New Iberia. Mrs. Pouliot's hobbies included; reading, doing arts and crafts, shopping, and cooking. She cherished moments spent with family and friends, especially her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Pouliot would always try to find a reasons to celebrate. She and Ernest would have been married for 41 years on March 28, 2016 and they never spent a night apart.She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband, Ernest Pouliot; daughters, Tiffany Menard and husband Ryan of New Iberia and Jill Pouliot of St. Martinville; son, Jason Pouliot of New Iberia; brothers, Rodney Decoux and wife Renee of New Iberia, Geoffrey Decoux, Jr. and wife Vicki of New Iberia, and Eddie Decoux, Sr. and wife Ramona of New Iberia; grandchildren, Meg Menard, Emma Pouliot, Abbey Menard, and Cooper Menard. She was preceded in death by her parents, Geraldine and Geoffrey Decoux, Sr. Pallbearers will be Rodney Decoux, Geoffrey Decoux Jr., Eddie Decoux Sr., Carl Walker, Ryan Menard, and Eddie Decoux Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Rosen and David Decuir.
