Doreen Bergeron Broussard

New Iberia Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM, Friday, November 14, 2014, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Doreen Bergeron Broussard, 77, who passed away on Monday, November 10, 2014 in New Iberia. Interment will follow in St. Peters Cemetery. Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Thursday. Visitation will continue Friday at 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM. Mrs. Broussard was born on December 4, 1936 to Lanny and Della Touchet Bergeron. She enjoyed reading, doing needlepoint work, and praying the rosary. Survivors include her children, Armand Buddy Broussard, Jr. of Minneapolis, MN, Gwendolyn Bourgeois and husband Donald of Baton Rouge, Cindy Breaux and husband Ted of Erath; brothers, Dennis Bergeron of California, Danny Bergeron and companion Marcella LeJeune of Gueydan, Alvin Bergeron of New Iberia; grandchildren, Dawn Bourgeois, Megan Blackwell, Blake Bourgeois, Katie Bourgeois, Jarod Breaux, Jacqueline Broussard; 10 great grandchildren; and a beloved lifetime friend, Dot Broussard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Armand Bruce Broussard, Sr.; sons, Keith Patrick Broussard, Lanny Broussard, Kenneth J. Broussard; brother, Johnny Bergeron; sisters, Mable Marie Bergeron, Angela Bergeron Angelle, Lillian Bergeron Bourque, Joann Bergeron Hebert. Pallbearers will be Jarod Breaux, Blake Bourgeois, Jason Blackwell, Anthony Bourque, Johnny Bergeron, Jr., Todd Bergeron, and Ronnie Gonsoulin.
