BreauxBridge - Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 6, 2010, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Dorothy 'Dot' LeBlanc Babineaux, 80, who passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum No. 2 in Breaux Bridge . Reading the scriptures will be Tina Breaux and Susan Melancon. Gift bearers will be Shawn Dugas, Laice Babineaux, Gina Champagne and Shana Guidry. Mrs. Babineaux was the owner of Babineaux's Slaughter House along with her husband, Rodney. She enjoyed baking for her family and friends and also enjoyed going camping with them. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Rodney J. Babineaux, Sr.; her sons, Rodney 'Bab' Babineaux, Jr. and his wife, Pattie; Larry Babineaux and his wife, Ginger; her daughter, Connie Guidry and her husband, Shane, all of Breaux Bridge; her brother, Paris LeBlanc of Sulphur; her sister, Sophie Guidroz of Breaux Bridge; her grandchildren, Shawn Dugas, Laice Babineaux, Gina Champagne, Jared Guidry and Shana Guidry; her great-grandchildren, Riley Mae Dugas, Shanna Champagne and Caleb Babineaux. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cyrus and Ceverine 'Meon' LeBlanc; her grandson, Shannon Babineaux; her sister, Bernice Veronie and her brother, Ivan LeBlanc. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Sunday and continue at 8:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Monday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 Sunday evening. Pallbearers will be Larry Babineaux, Rodney Babineaux, Jr., Shane Guidry, Jared Guidry, Richard LeBlanc and Paris LeBlanc. Pellerin Funeral Homeof BreauxBridge is in charge of arrangements.
