Dorothy Mae Cavalier

Pierre Part, LA - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, May 2, 2009, at Ourso Funeral Home Chapel in Pierre Part, for Dorothy Mae Cavalier, 87, who passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette. Interment will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Paincourtville. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family and sitting outside admiring the beauty of her flowers. She was a simple woman with simple needs and cherished her family and the time she spent with them. Survivors include her son, Steven Cedotal and his wife, Kathy of Thibodaux; her daughter, Nancy Gaudet of Breaux Bridge; her 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilfred and Annie Allemond Daigle; her husband, Frank Cavalier; her daughter, Betty Robert; and her brothers, Davis Daigle and George Daigle. Pallbearers will be Steve Cedotal, Pierre Gaudet, Jr., Ronald Prejean, Keith Gaudet, Kevin Robert and Chris Gaudet. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Ourso Funeral Home Chapel, Hwy. 70 in Pierre Part, LA.
