Dorothy Gulotta Sinitiere Andre

New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, May 14, 2021, at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church in New Iberia for Dorothy Gulotta Sinitiere Andre, 94, who passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at New Iberia. Interment will follow Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Ed Degeyter will be the Celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 4:00 pm until 8:30 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home. A rosary, led by the Men’s Rosary Group, will be prayed at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Friday from 8:00 am until 9:15 am. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Andre was born on November 6, 1926 to the late Henry and Noeda Guidry Gulotta, and was retired from Iberia Medical Center. She loved the opera and also enjoyed gardening, making jewelry, traveling, camping and baking. She is survived by her two daughters, Yvette Sinitierre Ellender of Erath and Adele Sinitiere Quibodeaux (Michael) of Youngsville; two sons, Steve Sinitiere (Jeanne) of New Iberia and Michael Sinitiere (Barbara) of New Iberia; brother, Paul Gulotta Sr. (Juanita) of New Iberia; daughter-in-law, Bridget Sinitiere of New Iberia; 13 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Edward Sinitiere and Oliver James Andre'; son, Kenneth Sinitiere; sister, Gloria Breaux; and a grandchild, Brett Michael Sinitiere.
