Arnaudville - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. , on Friday, August 13, 2010 , at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Dorothy Jane McGee Knott, 66, who passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 in Henderson . Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Dorothy enjoyed going dancing and camping. One of her greatest joys in life was to care for her family in there time of need, and was known for her compassion and love for others. Dorothy was a wonderful cook and loved to prepare a feast for her favorite holiday, Thanksgiving, for all her family to enjoy. Just knowing that she was cooking would bring a smile to everyone's face. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Herman Knott of Arnaudville; her sons, Chester J. Knott and his wife, Candace, of Carencro and Gary J. Knott and his wife, Rose, of Cecilia; her daughters, Velba 'Cricket' Knott Faul and her husband, Randy, of Leonville, Melba 'Nicole' Knott Nelson and her husband, Gordon, of Henderson and Sally Knott Robin and her husband, Jamie, of Breaux Bridge; her brothers, Bill McGee and Dakota McGee, both of Henderson; her sisters, Patricia Boudreaux and her husband, Larry, of Henderson and Beulah McGee of Lafayette; brother-in-law, Nolan Louviere of Henderson; sister-in-law, Verna Mae McGee of Henderson; her grandchildren, Harli, Garrett, Hannah, Courtney, Jordain, Jasmine and Blake; and her great grandchildren, Braegan, Brailey, Madison and Mason. She was preceded in death by her parents, LaSalle and Enola Robin McGee; her brothers, Jim and Allen McGee; and her sister, Helen Louviere. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 p.m. until 12 midnight on Thursday, August 12, 2010 and continue at 7:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Friday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 12, 2010 . Pallbearers will be Chester Knott, Jamie Robin, Gary Knott, Bill McGee, Jordain Brasseaux, and Dakota McGee. Pellerin Funeral Home of Arnaudville is in charge of arrangements.
