Dorothy Dugas Laperouse

St. Martinville - A private graveside service will be held for Dorothy Dugas Laperouse, 91, who passed away on Monday, May 4, 2020, at Landmark of Acadiana Nursing Home. Dorothy was born September 30, 1928 in St. Martinville. She was a devout Catholic and was a member of the Catholic Daughters at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church. Dorothy enjoyed her time spent with family and friends. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her daughters, Sheila Broussard and her husband, Mike and Evelyn Laviolette; son, Albert Laperouse; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Laperouse; daughters, Cynthia Laperouse and Joyce Sullivan; parents, Madison and Aurelien Dauphinet Dugas. Pallbearers will be Cory Laperouse, Lance Laviolette, Luke Broussard, Hubert Hulin Jr., Mike Broussard, Tyler Laperouse, Sterling Laperouse.
