Lafayette - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, March 5, 2010, at The Pentecostals of Lafayette Church, 6214 Johnston St., Lafayette, LA, for Dorothy Mae Williams Narsisse, 63, of Parks, who passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Pastor Darrel Weber will conduct the funeral service.
Dorothy faithfully attended Church regularly. She enjoyed reading, sewing and baking - she treated everyday as though it was a holiday. Dorothy will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Joseph Harold Narcisse; her son, Shane Edward Narcisse, of Parks; her mother, Helen Sam, of St. Martinville; four brothers, Junius B. Williams, of Broussard, and Raymond, Lawrence, and Ralph Sam, all of St. Martinville; three sisters, Wilda M. Malveaux, of Lafayette, and Mary Alice Jacob and Verna Sam, both of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren, Delanie, Mackenzie, and Chase Narcisse; one uncle, Manning Washington, of Broussard; and one aunt, Agnes Jones, of Lafayette.
She was preceded in death by her father, Junius B. Williams, Sr.; and her grandmother, Emma Washington.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the church on Friday, March 5th, from 7:30 a.m. and continue until time of service.
Pallbearers will be Neal Williams, Chris Williams, Ervin Wilson, Damian Wilson, Terence Dauphine, and Bryant Williams.
