Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Douglas Joseph Albert, 80, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2008 at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge. Douglas served in the National Guard and was a member of the Holy Name Society, American Legion and an Usher at St. Bernard Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Audrey Perrio Albert of Breaux Bridge; his brothers, Charlie Albert of Breaux Bridge, Cleveland Albert of Loreauville and Carrol Albert of Parks; and his sisters, Nelda Albert, Della Albert and Loritta Mouton all of Parks. He was preceded in death by his parents, Berton and Edmae Cormier Albert; his sister, Doris Rodriguez; and his brother, Harry Lee Albert. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Charlie Albert, Mike Rabeaux, Whitness Gary, Cleveland Albert, and Carrol Albert. Honorary pallbearer will be Rudolph Mouton. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Warren Degatur and his wonderful staff for the care given to Mr. Douglas during his illness. ; Mrs. Audrey would like to give an extra special thank you ;to Mrs. Jeanette Perrio, her true Guardian Angel ,who was always there for ;her and Douglas in their time of need. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
