Douglas Mark Romero

Douglas Mark Romero, 61, who passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at St. Frances Nursing Home and Rehab in Oberlin, LA. A native and lifelong resident of Breaux Bridge, he was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Aline Dore Romero; brothers, Paul "Tickey" Romero and William "Billy" Romero; and sister, W.M. "Coochie" Romero Briggs. He is survived by his loving wife, Claire Leveque Romero, whom misses him beyond words; sisters, Mary Annette Romero and Lisa Romero; many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews; and two step sons. Douglas was an instrument fitter and carpenter by trade. His carpentry was meticulous, yet creative and crafted to withstand the tests of time. The family would like to extend a special thanks to his caregiver at St. Frances Nursing Home and Rehab, Mrs. Brandi Venible.
