New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 19, 2018, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Doug Waldmann, 55, who passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018, in New Iberia.
Private interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Rev. Keith Landry will officiate.
A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 9:30 am until 1:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia.
Doug was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1962, at Lafayette General Hospital, and was delivered by Dr. Douglas M. Chesson, whom he was named after. An avid hunter and fisherman, he loved being outdoors, and was an also an avid New Orleans Saints and LSU Fan. Doug considered himself the "Ultimate Pit Master. If he killed it, he cooked it and it was delicious.
He is survived by his wife, Tina Perez Waldmann of New Iberia; mother, Margaret Hutchinson of New Iberia; daughter, Caitlyn DuBois and husband Gavin of New Iberia; brothers, Keith Waldmann and wife Dee Dee of Lafayette, and Gunner Waldmann of Abbeville; and his granddaughters, Avery DuBois, and Amelia DuBois.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Waldmann, step father, Albert Hutchinson, brothers, Harry Joseph Waldmann, and Duane Waldmann.
Pallbearers will be Gavin DuBois, Cody Waldmann, Hank Waldmann, Marty Borel, Lon Viator, and Blake Waldmann.
Honorary pallbearers include Keith Waldmann, and Gunner Waldmann.
