Zachary - Military graveside services will be at 2:00 PM, on Friday, June 12, 2009, at the Port Hudson National Cemetery in Zachary, for Dulius Joseph "T-Jun" Delahoussaye, Jr., 62, who passed away on Friday, June 5, 2009 in Seminole, Florida.
Born on January 19, 1947 in New Iberia, "T-Jun" joined the U.S. Navy when he was 17 years old. He served three tours in Vietnam and retired after 21 years of service to our country. During his military career, he was awarded three Good Conduct Medals, three Vietnam Service Medals; a Armed Forces Expeditionary, the National Defense Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation RVAH5 Republic of Vietnam-NAM MUC (Gallantry Cross) and a Vietnam Campaign Medal.
While living in St. Petersburg, Florida he was employed with the City of St. Petersburg as a maintenance service coordinator of the sanitation department from 1986 until 1996.
Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Patricia Delahoussaye; son, David Delahoussaye of Memphis, TN; brother, John C. Delahoussaye, Sr. and wife Virginia "Dolly" of New Iberia; sister, Murlene Delahoussaye Leitner of New Iberia; a step son, two step daughters, one step granddaughter, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dulius Joseph Delahoussaye, Sr. and Nolie Robert Delahoussaye; sisters, Dolores Bonin, Barbara Ann Delahoussaye; nephews, Jodi Delahoussaye, and Raleigh Viator, Jr.
A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 11:30 AM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Thursday.
