New Iberia ;- Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 15, 2009, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in New Iberia, for Dustin James Verrett, 24, who passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 in New Iberia. ; Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. ; Rev. Mark Gondron will officiate. Born on December 18, 1984, Dustin worked as a carpenter for Ted Lyons Construction. He enjoyed music, playing his guitar, cooking, and spending time with his family and friends. ; Survivors include his father, Tommy Verrett and wife Monica of New Iberia; his fiance, Jodie Daze of New Iberia; grandparents, Delton "Buddy" Sober, Sr. of Alexandria, Caroline Verrett Gerard and husband Kenneth of New Iberia; brother, Corey Lynn Verrett of New Iberia; uncles, Gerald Verrett and wife Michelle of New Iberia, Sherman Verrett and wife Toni of Abbeville, Darrell Sober and wife Annette ;of Alexandria; aunts, Pam Boutte and husband Timmy of New Iberia, Darlene DeSoto of Alaska. Survivors also include several cousins. ; He was preceded in death by his mother, Dana Sober Verrett; brother, Kyle David Verrett; grandparents, Corrine Sober, and Jerry Junior Verrett; uncle, Delton "Andy" Sober, Jr. ; A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 10:30 AM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia.
