Rynella - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at St. Marcellus Catholic Church in Rynella for Dwayne Anthony Harper, 38, who died Wednesday, February 13, 2008 in New Iberia.
Entombment will follow in St. Marcellus Mausoleum.
Rev. Donovan Labbe will be the Celebrant.
A native of New Iberia, Dwayne worked for Expro Americas as a wireline operator which he thoroughly enjoyed, as well as golf, spending time with his family and of coarse those LSU Tigers.
Survivors include his mother and father, Thomas and Mary Abshire Harper of New Iberia; his brother, Brian James Harper and his wife Shannen of Lafayette; his sisters, Vickie Harper Rivet and her husband Phil of Lydia and Angela Harper Guilbeau and her husband Charles of New Iberia; nephews, Cadin Guilbeau (godchild), Tyler Harper, Hanns Rivet and Cody Harper; nieces, Hailey Harper, Emily Harper (godchild), Megan Marks and Heidi Rivet.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Alexander Abshire and Mr. & Mrs. Frank Harper; nephew, Payten Guilbeau.
Pallbearers will be Charles Guilbeau, Brian Harper, Phil Rivet, Tyler Harper, Chad Delcambre and Kevin Bonin.
A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 10:30 AM until 10:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Friday. Visitation will continue Saturday from 8:00 AM until 9:30 at the funeral home.
