New Iberia - Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday, May 13, 2019, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Dwight Anthony "Bo" LaBauve, 67, who passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2019, at his home surrounded by his family.
Interment will be private at a later date.
Deacon Durk Viator will officiate.
A gathering of family and friends will be at Pellerin Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Monday.
Dwight Anthony "Bo" LaBauve was born in New Iberia, Louisiana on August 30, 1951 to the late Rudolph "Rudy" Anthony and Beulah Jenny LaBauve. He played high school football for the Lafayette High Lions, then later played college football for Texas A&M. Bo obtained his Master's Degree in Education from Southeast Oklahoma State University. He owned and operated Rudy's Fire and Safety with this father, then later United Fire and Safety with his sons, Luke and Hayden. Mr. LaBauve loved hunting and fishing, but his passion was spending time with his family, especially watching his sons and grandchildren play sports. Bo was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed.
Mr. LaBauve is survived by his loving spouse of 43 years, Vicki Cook LaBauve; sons, Luke LaBauve of Opelousas, and Hayden LaBauve and wife Zana Mullins LaBauve of New Iberia; grandchildren, Brylie LaBauve, Brax LaBauve, Xander LaBauve, Jagger LaBauve, and Ledger LaBauve; and brother-in-law, Buzzy Hebert.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Dauna LaBauve Hebert.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the PAN Foundation.
