Breaux Bridge - A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, June 18, 2020, at Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge for Earl Joseph Angelle, 76, who passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2020, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10:30 am until 3:45 pm on Thursday.
Earl worked in the oilfield for many years and after retirement, he enjoyed his job at O'Reilly Auto Parts. He loved interacting with his customers. Earl's true passion was training racehorses and working on his cars. He enjoyed watching sports, especially his favorite teams: the Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Yankees, and LSU Tigers. Earl also enjoyed his early morning coffee hour at Little Capital Exxon, while visiting with his buddies.
Earl was a Mason of the Hugh M. Daspit Lodge #301 in St. Martinville and he loved attending services at Crossroads Church. He had such a positive outlook on everything in life and would never complain; everyday was a good day for Earl. His family was his pride and joy, especially his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his sons, Todd Angelle and Dustin Angelle (Clay Espey); daughters, Myra Knott (Kenneth), Andrea Artigue (Gervis), Katrina Kupke (Jonathan) and Samantha Angelle (Phillip); grandchildren, Blair Bourg (Nicholas), Kameron Knott, Karli Knott, Kyndal Kupke, Gavin Kupke, Sydni Penn (Mark), Jordyn Leger and Dakota Leger; and great grandchildren, Kinlee Duhon, Nixon Bourg, Aidan Bourg, Owyn Penn and Beckham Penn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Lovina Allemond Angelle; sister, Margaret Guidry; grandchild, Devin Artigue; nieces, Gwendolyn Latiolais and Bonnie Bourque; and his stepmother, Lillian Angelle.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Lafayette General Medical nurses and staff for the care and support given to Earl.
