New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:00 PM Thursday, September 27, 2007, at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church in New Iberia, for Earl Lawrence Breaux, Sr, 77, of New Iberia, who died Tuesday, September 25, 2007 in a Lafayette hospital Rev. Mike Arnaud will be the Celebrant. Readers will be Lauren Stevens, David Gatz, and Aaron Breaux. Gift Bearers include Elise Comeaux, Noelle Comeaux, Payton Breaux, and Paul Breaux, II. Entombment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum. Mr. Breaux was a native and lifelong resident of New Iberia. As an owner of E. P. Breaux Electrical Contractors for many years, he was a successful and respected member of the New Iberia business community. He was active in trade and community organizations. A long time member and supporter of Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church Parish in New Iberia, Mr. Breaux was also a supporter of the Sisters of Mount Carmel, and Catholic High as well as other diocesan causes, and was honored by the Diocese of Lafayette for his charitable activities. He was an avid dove hunter, and inspired his sons with a love of the sport as well. Mr. Breaux was devoted and generous to his children and their families. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his sons, Paul Anthony Breaux, Sr. and wife Lori of New Iberia, William Louis Breaux and wife Marjie of Lafayette, Carl Robert Breaux of New Iberia, Earl Lawrence "Larry" Breaux, Jr. and wife Patricia of New Iberia; daughters, Jenny Comeaux and husband Troy D. Comeaux of New Iberia, Sandy Gatz and husband Doug of Lafayette; brother, Robert J. Breaux of New Iberia; sister, Elaine B. Segura of New Iberia; grandchildren, Paul Breaux, II, Payton Breaux, Parker Breaux, Elise Comeaux, Noelle Comeaux, Lauren Stevens, Claire Breaux, Aaron Breaux, Jake Breaux, Gretchen Breaux, Richie Breaux, David Gatz, Charlie Gatz, Shawne Breaux Frederick, Tonya Breaux; great grandchildren, Christian, Damien and Connor Frederick, Joshua, Elizabeth and Matthew Gatz, and Isabella Stevens. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aristile and Antionette Segura Breaux; brothers, Ernest P. Breaux, Sr., Daniel J. Breaux, Sr., Roland A. Breaux, Louis Allen Breaux, A.J. Breaux, Ray J. Breaux, Lee Breaux, Claude Breaux; sisters, Effie B. Delcambre Dahmer, Jeanne B. Clifton, Rita Breaux; and a great grandchild, MacKenzie Elizabeth Breaux. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday, from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. Visitation will continue Thursday, from 8:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be at 6:30 PM Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Mr. Breaux's sons and sons-in-law. Honorary pallbearers include Wayne Guillot and Lou Drouant. The family request that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Catholic High School, Endowment Fund, 1301 DeLaSalle Drive, New Iberia, LA. 70560 or to Sisters of Mount Carmel, P.O.
