Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am, on Thursday, October 29, 2015, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Earl Landry, Sr., 81, who passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2015, at Lafayette General Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 am until 10:00 am on Thursday. A rosary will be prayed at 8:00 am on Thursday. Fr. Joseph Campion will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge. Earl was a member of the Peter Claver #49 and loved watching baseball. He loved his children and entire family. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Ophelia Jean Batiste Landry; five daughters, Mathilda Landry and husband Vincent Alexander, Brenda Landry and husband Sylvester Hopkins, Linda Landry, Theresa Landry, and Bernadine Stevens and husband Floyd; son, Earl Landry, Jr. and wife Patricia Eaglin Landry; 15 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; two godchildren, Mary Jane Zeno and Tammy Davis; sister, Alice Mae Alexander; and two brothers, Wilton Landry and Morris Landry, all of Breaux Bridge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Cecil Alex Landry; son, Arthur James Landry; four brothers, McKinley Landry, Abraham Landry, Chester Landry, and Lincoln Landry; and his grandson, Travis Boo Landry. Pallbearers will be Stanley Landry, Theodore Landry, Dylan Gordon, Cedrick Landry, Bradley Landry, and Sterling Soloman. Honorary pallbearers will be Lee Landry Sr., Earl Landry Jr., Morris Landry, Shannon Landry, Wilton Landry, and Corey Francis. The family would like to thank Dr. Jaime Cordova for the love and care he provided to their father.
