Earl Pesson

New Iberia – Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm, on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Pellerin Funeral Home, for Earl Pesson, 85, who passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023.

Entombment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery.

Deacon Durk Viator will officiate.

Visitation will be Friday, from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home. A rosary will be prayed at 12:15 pm.

A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mr. Pesson was born on July 15, 1938, to the late Albert and Bertha Hebert Pesson. He was a graduate of New Iberia Senior High School and proudly served our country in the U.S. National Guard. Mr. Pesson retired from Cameron Iron Works, after 31 years of service, and his hobbies included hunting, fishing, and especially golf. He was a very fun loving person, who always had a smile on his face, and enjoyed making people laugh.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 65 years, Charlene Palumbo Pesson; children, Rodney Pesson (Paige), and Julie Pesson; brother, Mike Pesson; grandchildren, Jamie Laperouse, Jett Pesson (Stephenie), and Ashley Dore (Dustin Gaspard); and four great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Claude Pesson, James Pesson, and Charles Pesson.

Pallbearers will be Mike Pesson, Rodney Pesson, Jett Pesson, Mitch Boudreaux, Monty Boudreaux, and Cade Mannina.

The family would like to give special thanks to his caregivers, Eva, Betty, Tammy, Carol, Janice, and especially to Chimyra.
