Arnaudville - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, March 1, 2008, at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Earl Savoy, Jr., 32, who passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at Doctor's Hospital of Opelousas. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Rev. Fr. Keenan Brown will officiate at the funeral Mass. Earl loved playing on his Play Station and Nintendo, and spending time with his family. ?He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and loved ones. Survivors include his mother, Mary Savoy, of Arnaudville; five brothers, John Powell, Ernest Powell, and Paul Powell, all of Arnaudville, Lawrence Savoy, of Decatur, GA, and LaShannon Savoy, of North Carolina; six sisters, Phyllis Powell, JoAnn Powell, Vanessa Savoy, Shenessa Savoy, and Chasity Savoy, all of Arnaudville, and Shirley Powell, of Amarillo, TX; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Richard; his maternal grandparents, Ernest and Odile C. Savoy; his paternal grandmother, Elina King; his paternal grandfather, Nathan Richard; and a nephew, Bradley Savoy. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday and continue at 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Pallbearers will be John Sampy, Jr., Michael Savoy, Travis Clark, Ronald Charles, Randy Richard, and Perry Clark. Pellerin Funeral Home of Arnaudville is in charge of arrangements.
