Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 5, 2005, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Eddie Townsend, 64, who died Thursday, September 1, 2005 at Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems in Hayti, Missouri. Entombment will be in St. Bernard Mausoleum No. 1 in Breaux Bridge. Mr. Townsend was a member of the Saddle Club and Crawfish Campers. ?He was the owner of the ?Pool Shop of Acadiana for 20 years and D & E Transportaion. ?In the past he was employed with ?Service Chevrolet of Lafayette as a service manager. Survivors include his wife Diane Domingues Townsend of Breaux Bridge; his son Danton Murphy Townsend and his wife, Rachel of Shiloh, Illinois; his daughters, Rebecca Courville and her husband, Brett of Loreauville, Tonya Carriere and her husband, Shane of Cankton, LA; his brothers, Hoyt Townsend of West Memphis, Arkansas and Donnie Townsend of Flower Mount, TX; his sister Sarah Ann Dobson of Hattiesburg, MS.; his grandchildren, Brandon Miller, Candace Richard, Brooks Richard, Tyler Townsend, Courtney Carriere and Trevor Carriere. He was preceded in death by his parents, Murphy Townsend and Loraine Lord Townsend; and his sister, Becky Jo Townsend. The family request that visiting hours be observed from 8 a.m. Sunday, September 4, 2005 unill 10:00 p.m. and continue at 7 a.m. Monday, September 5, 2005 until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday. Pallbearers will be Brandon Miller, Tyler Townsend, Danton Townsend, John Dever, Tommy Guidry and Hoyt Townsend. Pellerin Funeral Homes of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
