Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, September 30, 2019, at Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge for Edith B. Robin, 85, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 28, 2019, at her home surrounded by her family.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Sunday, and continue on Monday at 8:00 am until 1:00 pm.
Shelton Clay chaplain with Heart of Hospice will officiate at the Funeral Service. Readers will be Melanie and Judy.
Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Henderson.
Edith was born in Henderson, LA to the late Edwin and Anita Wiltz Brasseaux. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Edith was the rock of her family and she loved and adored her children and all of her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading books, working in the yard, and going to the casino. Edith will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. "She was strong as a lioness, but had the heart of a lamb."
She is survived by her son, Mike Robin and wife Donna of Pineville, LA; daughters, Debbie Robin and husband Tony of Henderson, LA, Violet Reed and companion Roy Latiolais, and Josie Theriot and husband Darren of St. Martinville, LA; 12 grandchildren, Brandon, April, Andrea, Melanie, Wendy, Kayla, Christopher, Bruce, Kent, Kyle, Kelly, and Kaleb Theriot; 19 great grandchildren, Parker, Jolie, Willie, Devon, Bryson, Brittany, Jagger, Deacon, Rylan, Elise, Brayle, Christopher, Jr., Collin, Brooklynn, Landon, Emma, Isabell, Jayden, and Kai; 3 great-great grandchildren, Piper, Beckett, and Amelia Rose; and her sister, Rita LeBlanc and husband Fred.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curley Robin; father, Edwin Brasseaux; mother, Anita Wiltz Brasseaux; brother, Morris Brasseaux; and sisters, Marie Louviere, Thelma Chesson, and Gertie Patin.
Pallbearers will be Mike Robin, Chris Reed, Bruce Reed, Kent Theriot, Kyle Theriot, and Kaleb Theriot.
Honorary pallbearer will be Brandon Robin.
