Edmond Callandret

Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm, on Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Edmond Callandret, 90, who passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2014, at Opelousas General Hospital. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Pellerin Funeral Home in Arnaudville, from 8:00 am until 1:30 pm on Wednesday. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am by Deacon Ken Arnaud in the funeral home. Rev. Brian Taylor will officiate at the Funeral Mass. The reader for the Mass will be Jillian Richard. Gift Bearers will be Andria and Nadia Richard and Ava Taylor. Entombment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Edmond, a resident of Arnaudville, was the son of the late Gaston Callandret and the former Maria Artigue Callandret. He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Unita Hebert; one son, Nathan Callandret and his companion, Effie Ducote; one daughter, Vicki C. Taylor; his grandchildren, Rev. Brian J. Taylor, Lyle Taylor and his wife, Sara; Kyle Taylor and his wife, Nancy; Jonah Taylor and his wife, Melissa; and Tara Taylor Richard and her husband, Adam; his step grandchildren, Michael Ducote and Gena Artigue; his great grandchildren, Jillian Richard, Andria Richard, Nadia Richard, Aidan Richard, Ian Richard, Aadin Taylor Ava Taylor; and his step great grandson, Caleb Landerno. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley Arnaud Callandret; his brother in law, Didier Hebert; his son in law, Howard J Taylor; his nephew, Nolan Hebert; and a granddaughter, Monique Kai Taylor. Pallbearers will be Nathan Callandret, Lyle Taylor, Kyle Taylor, Jonah Taylor, Adam Richard, and Gene Callandret. Honorary pallbearers will be Aidan Richard, Ian Richard, Aadin Taylor, and Caleb Landerno.
