Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Edna L. Delahoussaye, 87, who passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice in Baton Rouge. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm on Friday, and continue on Saturday at 7:00 am until service time. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Friday. Rev. Richard Fabre will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. Gift Bearers will be her great grandchildren. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Edna was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was an expert seamstress who enjoyed dancing, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. Edna was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and a weekly rosary group. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her sons, Kaven Delahoussaye and wife Marella of Breaux Bridge, Alric Delahoussaye and wife Tammy, Arden Delahoussaye and wife Rhonda; grandchildren, Sandy Orson, Bryan Delahoussaye, Jamie Meche, Shane Delahoussaye, Travis Delahoussaye, Kyle Delahoussaye; and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Sulie LeBlanc; mother, Martina Theriot LeBlanc; first husband, Avery Delahoussaye; second husband, Herbert Suir; sons, Gerald Delahoussaye and Mark Delahoussaye; grandson, Justin Delahoussaye; brother, Leonard LeBlanc; and special friends, Howard Dubois and Joe Boudreaux. Pallbearers will be Kaven Delahoussaye, Alric Delahoussaye, Arden Delahoussaye, Bryan Delahoussaye, Shane Delahoussaye, and Kyle Delahoussaye. Honorary pallbearers will be Brylan Villien, Alex Meche, and Tristan Orson.
