VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE Arnaudville - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, August 9, 2008, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Edna Lucy Bernard Etienne, 52, who passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at University Medical Center in Lafayette. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Grand Coteau. Deacon Kenneth Arnaud will conduct the services. Readers will be Chanell Melancon and Cathy Melancon. Edna enjoyed music, outdoors, cooking, watching TV, saying the rosary every morning and spending time with family. She will be sadly missed by her husband, children, grandchildren, mother, brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces. Survivors include her husband, Joseph Clarence Etienne of Breaux Bridge; her mother, Janet Marie L. Bernard and step father, Francis Nolan Bernard both of Leonville; her step mother, Joyce Bernard of Arnaudville; her son, Joseph Curtis Savoie, Jr. and his wife, Tina of Breaux Bridge; her daughter, Kizzie Marie Benoit of Breaux Bridge; her brothers, Mike Bernard of Mississippi, Ernest Bernard of Texas, Bernell Bernard of Arnaudville and Leopold Bernard, Jr. of Arnaudville; her sisters, Darline Bernard of Breaux Bridge, Brenda Bernard of Arnaudville, Cathy Melancon of Lafayette, Leola Bernard of Cecilia and Lisa Champagne of Alabama and her grandchildren, Braylon Savoie, Brylon Savoie and Allison Savoie. She was preceded in death by her father, Leopold Bernard, Sr. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Friday, August 8, 2008 and continue at 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pallbearers will be Curtis Savoie, Jr., Michael Bernard, Bernell Bernard, Leopold Bernard, Nolan Bernard and Adrien Lormand. Honorary pallbearers will be Braylon and Brylon Savoie. Pellerin Funeral Home of Arnaudville is in charge of arrangements.
