Edward Charles Andre

New Iberia - Private services will be held at a later date for Edward Charles Andre, 84, who passed away on Monday, February 29, 2016, in Lafayette. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mr. Andre was born on November 17, 1931 to Louis and Frances Babaz Andre. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy, during the Korean War as a Seabee, and his hobbies included fishing. He is survived by his wife, Delores Dutile Andre of New Iberia; daughter, Deirdre Nicholson and husband Douglas of New Iberia; son, Matthew Andre of New Iberia; brother, Oliver Andre and wife Dorothy of New Iberia; sister, Francis Roy of Lafayette; grandchildren, Damain Andre, and Destiny Nicholson both of New Iberia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Andre.
