Edward Joseph Menard, Sr.

St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 21, 2019, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Edward Joseph Menard Sr., 77, who passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2019, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Notre Dame Catholic Church from 7:00 am until 10:00 am on Saturday. A rosary will be prayed at 8:00 am on Saturday. Rev. Michael Sucharski, SVD will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. Readers will be Patsy Robertson and Devora Mitchell. Gift Bearers will be Laura Mitchell, Eula Faulk and Desiree Faulk. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Mr. Menard enjoyed dancing, watching Saints football, and cherished moments spent with family and friends. He is survived by his loving spouse, Julia Cole Menard of St. Martinville; daughters, Laura Mitchell and husband Kevin of New Iberia, Eula Faulk and husband Dwight of Lafayette; son, Edward Joseph Menard, Jr. of St. Martinville; sisters, Geraldine Batiste of St. Martinville, Carnella Dorn of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Desiree Faulk of Lafayette, Maegan Flugence of CA, Edward Joseph Menard, III of St. Martinville, and Chamaje Barideaux of New Iberia. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Menard; mother, Fanny Menard; brothers, Wallace Menard, Bill Harry Menard, Gilbert Menard, and Warren Menard. Pallbearers will be Bryan Doucet, Edmond Menard, Bryan Francis, Corey Cote, Eddie Menard, and Patrick Antoine. Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Mitchell, Dwight Faulk, and Calvin Cole.
