Edward P. Terrell, III

New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 8, 2007, at St. Peter Catholic Church in New Iberia, for Edward "Eddie" Patrick Terrell, III, 71, who passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2007, at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans. Interment will follow at Beau Pr Cemetery in New Iberia. The Very Rev. Msgr. J. Douglas Courville, pastor of St. Jules Catholic Church, will officiciate at the funeral Mass. Mr. Terrell retired from McIlhenny Company, "Tabasco," as Executive Vice President after 40 years of service. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Mercedes "Pal" Terrell, of New Iberia; three sons, Michael Terrell and his wife, Judy, of Avery Island, Edward Terrell, IV and his wife, Carla, of Frisco, TX, and Tim Terrell and his wife, Diane, of New Orleans; his sister, Pat Pharr, of New Iberia; and five grandchildren, Andrew Terrell, Nicholas Terrell, Benjamin Terrell, James Terrell, and Alaina Terrell. He was preceded in death by one son, Thomas "Tommy" Terrell; and his parents, E.P. Terrell, Jr. and Mildred Romero Terrell. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, and continue at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening. Pallbearers will be Andrew Terrell, James Terrell, Benjamin Terrell, Dr. Luis Alvarez, Andy Schmitz, and Chuck Schmitz, Nicholas Terrell and Alaina Terrell.
