Edwin Leo McCann, Jr.

Breaux Bridge - Going to be with our Lord and Savior, Edwin Leo McCann, Jr., 58, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2009 at his residence in Breaux Bridge. Mr. McCann was born on February 5, 1951 in Morgan City, Louisiana and was a longtime resident of Tampa, Florida and Kaplan, Louisiana. He enjoyed attending concerts, listening to music, playing his guitar, taking and collecting pictures and was also an avid coin collector. He loved spending time with his family and friends, whom he adored. Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Lynn Smith and her husband, James, of Breaux Bridge; his son, Erick C. McCann, of Abbeville; one granddaughter, Erica Lynn McCann, of Delcambre; two sisters, Kathleen McCann Adams and her husband, Fred, of Baton Rouge, and Ann Chaisson Hunter and her husband, John D., of Morgan City; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Paula Kay Stephenson McCann; a son, Christopher Erick McCann; his parents, Edwin L. McCann, Sr. and Carrie Billiot; and a sister, Cora Louise McCann.
