Effie Periou Stoute

Leonville - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 14, 2006, at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville for Effie Periou Stoute, 86, who died Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at J. Michael Morrow Nursing Home in Arnaudville. Interment will be in St. Leo the Great Cemetery in Leonville. Mrs. Stoute was a member of the St. Leo the Great Altar Society in Leonville. Survivors include her husband, Henry Stoute of Arnaudville; her sons, Clarence Lanclos and his wife, Bernice and J.D. Lanclos and his wife, Elaine, all of Arnaudville; her daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Hilda) Begnaud of Arnaudville and Barbara Bird and her husband, David of Breaux Bridge; twelve grandchildren, two step grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and two foster great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Regis and Rosa Guidroz Periou; her first husband, Regis Lanclos; an infant child; her grandson, Jimmy Begnaud; and four sisters. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 p.m. ~ 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday and continue at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Corey, Brandon, Derek, and Troy Lanclos and Rendell Bird and Donovan Taylor. Pellerin Funeral Home of Arnaudville is in charge of arrangements.
