Electa Castille

St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, January 24, 2008, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Electa Landry Castille, 84, who died Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at Consolata Nursing Home in New Iberia. Entombment will follow at St. Michael Mausoleum in St. Martinville. Rev. P. Austin Leger, pastor of St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church will conduct the services. Mrs. Castille was a member of the Rosary Group in St. Martinville and enjoyed gardening. Survivors include her son, Gerald Castille and his wife, Myra R. Castille of Coteau Holmes; her daughter-in-law, Phyllis B. Castille of St. Martinville; her sisters, Una L. Bernard and Dorothy ""Dot"" Leger both of Lafayette; her grandchildren, Melissa Castille, Annette Riverol, Christy Hebert, Lori C. Sonnier and Tami Castille and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harris B. Castille; her parents, Pierre and Grazelle Broussard Landry; her son, Percy Castille and her sister, Bernice Landry Trahan. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2008. A rosary will be recited at 12:45 p.m. Thursday. Pallbearers will be Gerald J. Castille, Rocky Bernard, Burt Leger, G. Wade Burdin III, Chris Burdin and Charles Theriot, Jr. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
