Elias J Doucet

New Iberia Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, November 24, 2014 at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Elias Jim Doucet, 82 who died Saturday, November 15, 2014 in New Iberia. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. Deacon Theo Landry will officiate. A native of Abbeville, Mr. Doucet was born on July 31, 1932 to Romelus and Edna Romero Doucet, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked as a carpenter and enjoyed traveling, and visiting with family and friends. Survivors include his daughter, Jammie Doucet Blanchard and husband Jason of Youngsville; two grandchildren, Jewel Cote, and Jesse Cote. He was preceded in death by his parents.
