Catahoula - A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm, on Thursday, July 23, 2015, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Catahoula, for Elizabeth "Liz" Barras, 51, who passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at University Hospital & Clinics.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 11:30 am until 10:00 pm on Wednesday, and continue on Thursday at 7:00 am until 12:30 pm, at Dion Hall in Catahoula. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Wednesday.
Rev. Richard Fabre will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula.
Liz loved to crawfish with her husband as well as accommodate him in all other aspects in life. She enjoyed working in the businesses that she and her husband owned. She also loved playing the poker machines with her friend, Kathleen Savoy, and traveling every summer with her husband and friends. She loved her children, grandchildren, and husband unconditionally.
She is survived by her loving spouse of 34 years, Dale Barras, Sr.; daughter, Joannie Comeaux and husband Blake of Catahoula; sons, Paul Robin, Dale "T-boy" Barras, Jr., and Zachary Barras, all of Catahoula; her sisters, Janice Barras and husband Danny of Catahoula, Tina Robin and companion, Sandy Bernis, of Catahoula, and Rebecca Anderson and husband Salvador of Breaux Bridge; her brothers, Terry Robin and wife Lorie of Maurice, Dean Robin and wife Wendy of Catahoula, Wiley Robin, Jr. and wife Debbie of Breaux Bridge; granddaughters, Amanda Sonnier and Hannah Comeaux; and her grandson, Avery Comeaux.
She was preceded in death by parents, Wiley Joseph Robin, Sr. and Shirley Ann Latiolais Robin; her brother, Aldus Robin; a nephew, Clayton Latiolais and niece, Kristen Barras.
Pallbearers will be Blake Comeaux, Dale "T-boy" Barras, Jr., Terry Barras, Dean Robin, Anthony Barras, and Whitney Douet, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Robin, Zachary Barras, Danny Barras, and Seth Anderson.
