St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm, on Saturday, February 20, 2016, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Elizabeth A. Bertrand, 58, who passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2016. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 am until 1:30 pm on Saturday, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville. A rosary will be prayed at 12:00 pm on Saturday. Rev. Rusty P. Richard will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Dixie Gaspard and Jasmine Vale. Gift bearers will be Jenna Armentor, Alana Louviere, and Dusti Bertrand. Liz loved to cook, read, and spend time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She had a special bond with each of her nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughter Bliss DeCourt and husband Jeremy; grandchildren, Macy DeCourt, Allie DeCourt and Jacques DeCourt; mother, Patsy Bertrand; sisters, Debbie Landry and husband Alfred "Al", Robin Neuville and husband Scott; brother, Larry "Possum" Bertrand, Jr. and wife Rachael; two sisters-in-law, Lamar Bertrand and Maria Bertrand; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Bertrand, Sr.; brothers, Toby and Todd Bertrand; and her niece, Erin Guirard. Pallbearers will be Dylan Bertrand, Scott Neuville, Al Landry, Zack Armentor, Michael Hebert, Brian Miguez, Corey Louviere, and Forest Bertrand. Honorary pallbearer will be Tyler Bertrand.
